About Us

Welcome to my blog site! My name is Sara, I am 29 years old and currently residing in sunny south Florida (Miami to be exact.) We are currently in the process of making a big move up to Jacksonville, in North Florida. I live with my husband of 6 years, Charles, and the love of our life, Zachary.

A little about me; I was born and raised in Bay City, Michigan with my Parents and three other siblings. I have an older sister, a younger sister and a younger brother. I also have one nephew whom all still reside in Bay City, Michigan.

Before I became a Mom, my passion was teaching young children. I was a Preschool teacher for 7 years at various private schools. Although I rarely have time to do it these days, I enjoy drawing. I also love beaches, pools, anything having to do with water. I like to get out and do things, go to movies, dinner with friends and/or family,  travel, you name it.

Charles was born in Fort Lauderdale, Florida but grew up in Key West, Florida. Lucky s.o.b. right?
Charles is a sales/marketing manager for a world-wide mail order company for Porsche, BMW and Mercedes parts.
He enjoys watching sports, bbqing, socializing and cooking on occassion.

Myself living in a small city in Michigan and Charles living in Miami, FL ran into eachother by chance on the internet in 1997. After conversing over the internet, by telephone and emails for two and a half years, we finally decided to meet in person in the summer of 1999. We were married on February 17th, 2001 in Miami Florida.

We tried for three years to have a child. We had done all the initial "testing" that was required and found no reason that we could not get pregnant. Just before we were going to look into matters a bit deeper, we found out that we were blessed with Zachary in mid-July of 2004 at which time I was 7 weeks pregnant. I had a pretty easy pregnancy with the exception of a "false abnormal" triple-screen blood test. We were told that there was a chance that Zac would have Down's Syndrome. We were sent to have an ultrasound, speak to a councelor, and have an amniocentesis. In the end, there was nothing to worry about as Zachary Charles was born on March 8th, 2005 (which is the same birthday as his Grandpa's) perfectly healthy with the acception of his severe reflux issues we were soon to find out.

We are entertaining the idea of trying for a brother or sister for Zac once we're settled up in Jacksonville. As of right now, our hands are full enough dealing with him! I ask myself if I really want to test the odds that we may get another refluxer with more severe issues if we decide to have another. In the end, God only gives you what you can handle so we'll just have to see what happens down the road. Either way we are truly blessed!
